Grass. Roots. Racing!

In a collaborative effort with Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah, the Lucas Oil Regional Off Road Series expands its commitment to grass roots racing to the Utah region.

Lucas Oil Regional Off Road Series Utah Logo

As part of the Lucas Oil Regional Off Road Racing Series, the Utah Region joins the Southern California, Arizona Regions and the Arizona Short Course Championship, in continuing efforts to promote and develop grass roots short course off road racing. As the Lucas Oil team assumes day to day operations of the Utah series, they will be working with their Southern California and Arizona counterparts to develop uniform rules and safety standards for exciting new classes, as each region develops. While the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series rulebook will be utilized for existing short course off road racing classes, new classes will create opportunities for off road racers at all levels to compete safely in short course off road racing.

Event Structure

Each race weekend is a one-day (Saturday) event, with a mandatory drivers’ briefing, a practice session, a qualifying session, a heat race and a feature race on each day. An hour-long lunch session is scheduled each day, and trophy ceremonies follow the racing at the end of each day.

All Lucas Oil Regional events also include an optional test/practice day on the Friday afternoon of the race weekend, using whatever track configuration will be raced on that weekend.
